Latin is one of the oldest languages in the world. It is the language of philosophy, medicinae, terms from other sciences. As the result there are a lot of words in other languages especially in English borrowed in this lingua. For example such words as “micro” that means small, “geo” that means earth, or “auto” that means self are used in most European countries.
Latin is really valuable language even today. Most students stadium Latin on the first courses. They have lessons at least biweekly, in order to have visible result, to be multilingual specialists. Every student should learn by heart all material in order to don’t be a pseudologist that know just a few Latin words or phrases and use them everywhere. If you personaly meet this you should automatically correct hin in order to reduce number of these people.
To sum up, I want advice you to develop your verbum list all the time. And it brings you beneficia.

Good luck my dear lectorem in your studying!
