BP #9. Environment

Hi my dear reader. Our today’s topic is environment. And I want to share my expressions after watching of two videos about the human’s influence on environment.  .The main point of the first video is that carbon dioxide has a great influence on the climate change, and that we should look for the alternative sources of energy like solar water wind power. Also there were mentioned that fossil fuels are very harmful to the environment, so we should think about the usage of the law-carbon energy. For example, offshore wind farms are a nice variant, but there’s one problem – they are too expensive. Nowadays scientists try to create new type of generators, so that this technology will be cheaper in future. Moreover, it was said, that electric supply of automobiles could reduce the level of gas emission. But the main problem is that industry can’t exist without energy. The only way to solve this problem is to reuse some things, such as buildings, plastic\paper products and so on, so that factories will consume less energy. In common, we should use low-carbon technologies in order to avoid eco-disaster. In the second video is talking about Earth rangers. It’s a community which teaches children to be friendly to the environment. Their aim is to show us in which way we should control the usage of the energy: lightning or water control. They also told about energy management information system. This organization shows how to reduce the consumption of energy. So, these people trying to prepare young generation to the eco-friendly future, which they could create.

And now I’d like to tell about environment in our area. To put n nutshell situation in our country is not very good. People throw away garbage everywhere, cut down trees and vehicle emissions destroy ozone layer. It’s absolutely vital to start actions, which could help us to find out the solution of all these problems. Personally I think that the main step which we should make to improve this situation is to think about the alternative sources of energy. For example, we have water reservoir that cold nuclear power plant. We can start use hydro energy. It is renewable kind of energy; moreover it is eco-friendly way to provide people with electricity. What is more, we can introduce green taxes. People must pay for polluting or damaging environment.  And government can use this money to improve environment situation, to protect biodiversity. And the last idea: try to use the hybrid cars or bicycles for short trips. Due to its eco-friendly design we could avoid exhaust fumes, which cars usually emit. I understand that all these tasks are really daunting, but we should think about our future and about Earth. I hope personally you is environmentally friendly, and together we make our planet better.
